My wife and I celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. My wife said last night it seemed like only one; I said it seem like three. Har Har! I have no regrets or resentments. I think we're doing grand considering what we've been up to the last two years.
- Signed onto a new mortgage to finance the remodel; and bought a new car.
- Remodeled the house; adding a second floor with two bedrooms and a bath (two make room for two teenage boys)
- Survived hospitalization and surgery; my wife had an 'angry' gall bladder removed that started to act up on our honeymoon.
- I re-started college to finish my degree, which requires money, equipment, money, software, books, money, and a lot of time hunkered over keyboard.
- My wife played piano for a musical production; which our daughter Amanda and her fiancé Jeffrey, had starred.
- Amanda & Jeffrey got married.
- Addie went through two seasons of soccer and is now starting tap dance.
- Took 10+ trips to Portland for concerts and/or plays.
- Went through two 8th - grade graduations.
- Moved our daughter Sarah's belongings to storage out of storage to Seattle back to storage to Portland then back to Seattle.
- Went to many many Salem Big Band events.
- I took a hit in the paycheck.
- Gained a cat. (total now 4)
- Two Christmases & Two School years.
- And many more little things I can't remember right now.
But all in all, I am having the best time of my life. With this marriage I have gained more than just equity or dental and medical, but I've gained family. It hasn't always been smooth sailing, but we all have survived it so far. I just want everyone to know that I love my new family and couldn't imagine any different life without them.
I especially love my wife Christie, who has stand with me through all of this 'activity' over the last two years. Love you hun. I look forward to two more ... no twenty and thirty more. (That's if the kids don't drive us to an early grave first)
